Get Mad

This weekend I went back to my hometown in Rutherford County NC. Saturday morning when I woke up, I checked my snapchat stories and seen that there was a “Black Lives Matter” parade caravanning through the main streets of my hometown. I was so frustrated just because I do not want chaos going around in MY hometown.
First off, I want to make it clear that I am far from racist. A matter of fact, two of my good friends are black and I have the upmost respect for every race in our country.
I am sick and tired of this “Black Lives Matter” bull crap. I wish our country could just come together and make America great again, instead of people burning down businesses, cop vehicles, and most importantly beating down white people. This is all happening because cops are gunning down black teenagers that are carrying weapons and being thugs. Put yourself in a cops shoes and you might understand why those thugs are being killed. I am not saying that all cops are doing their jobs the right way, what I am saying is that if a thug draws a weapon on me, I am going to shoot him.
We have way too many problems in this world to be protesting and burning things to the ground just because cops are doing their jobs by protecting and serving us.We need to come together and make this world a better place to live in, instead of killing each other.

Confession Time

When I was younger, for some odd reason, I had a bad habit of biting my fingernails. I would bite my finger nails so much that they would get too short and irritate the skin under my finger nail. It was mainly when I was trying to focus on something or pay attention to someone. It was like I did not even know I was doing it. I would be on the baseball field and I could hear my mom yell at me from the stands, “Colton, Stop biting your fingernails!”. My mom would get so mad at me when she saw me doing that because she knew I would be complaining about it later when it would be hurting.
It got the point where my dad was getting pissed off at me. He would even threaten to whoop me if I did not quit biting my finger nails off. That is when I really started to consider to break this terrible habit. One morning when I woke up I had a brilliant idea. My younger brother has cold sores on his mouth and we would always have to buy Abreva to numb his cold sore for the pain. So that morning, I got up and went to the medicine cabinet at my house and grabbed the Abreva. I lathered the Abreva on the tips of all my fingers. So that every time I would go to bite my finger nails, my whole mouth would go numb. Needless to say, I broke my bad habit within a week. All habits can be broken. Drugs, Alcohol, etc. are all BAD habits. You can break them. All it takes is self-will and heart.
